Fawaz Gruosi, the founder of the Swiss watches and jewelry brand de Grisogono, opened his first boutique together with his partners in Geneve in 1993. Two years later he founded a company that was named de Grisogono, after the mother of one of the partners. Not later than one year after that, Gruosi for the first time introduced black diamond into the high-class jewelry production, having some subsequent collections totally based on it.
