Georges Favre-Jacot created in 1865 a concept of something that would later be called a watchmaking workshop, but also the first watches named Zenith. More than a century later, in 1969, Zenith produced the first world's automatic chronographic movement, El Primero. Zenith is owned by the LMVH group since 2000. Jean-Frederic Dufour became head of Zenith in 2009 and started slowly bringing this manufacturer back to the place it held long time ago and which it deserves without any doubt – to the very top of Swiss watchmaking industry. The focus of attention is held by legendary models El Primero and Elite, with numerous complications and variants.
